The new ROUSH Performance TVS R2650 (2.65L) Supercharger Kit boosts the 2021 F-150 equipped with the 5.0L V8 to 705 horsepower and 635 pound-feet of torque
LIVONIA, MICH. (April 8, 2022) – ROUSH Performance has announced its new supercharger is now available for the 2021 Ford F-150 and is backed by an in-house powertrain warranty. The new F-150 Supercharger Kit boosts output to 705 horsepower and 635 pound-feet of torque – a gain of 305 horsepower and 225 pound-feet of torque. The power increase comes from new calibration optimized for 93-octane fuel for more aggressive tuning with a new and low-temperature radiator (twice the size of the previous ROUSH low-temperature radiator) with a 107% larger surface area offering increased cooling capacity.
To ensure the new supercharger system met power goals, ROUSH engineers developed an optimized billet aluminum viscous crankshaft damper to improve the durability and longevity of the supercharged 5.0L V8 engine. Also included in the kit is a set of uniquely designed spark plugs specifically for supercharger applications, which are optimized for the forced induction combustion process and reduce pre-ignition risks from the added power of the supercharger.
The ROUSH R2650 TVS supercharger is a roots-type positive-displacement supercharger with four-lobe rotors and 170 degrees of twist. Oversized bearings and thicker timing gears provide increased durability, while the custom high-efficiency aluminum intercooler helps keep the air entering the engine cool.
The Supercharger Kit was engineered for the 2021 Ford F-150 equipped with the 5.0L V8 (not compatible with the Pro Power Onboard dual alternator system). The kit retains all factory driving modes and includes ROUSH’s high-performance calibration flashed using free ROUSH RDT software. It is optimized for using 93-octane premium gas for maximum power output but is compatible with 91-octane fuel. The ROUSH calibration also removes the cylinder deactivation feature.
The 2021 F-150 Supercharger Kit comes with all necessary installation hardware and is backed by ROUSH’s in-house, 3-year/36,000-mile limited powertrain warranty when installed by a Ford dealer or an Automotive Service Excellence-certified technician.
