Built for Jonathan Barber who was paralyzed in a coal-mining accident, the truck will feature a 14-inch lift, 24-inch RBP wheels wrapped in 40-inch tires with a custom wheelchair lift and gullwing door.
LAS VEGAS (November 2019) — Rolling Big Power, an industry leading manufacturer of aftermarket grilles, running boards, wheels, suspension and exhaust components, has partnered with Keaton “The Muscle” Hoskins from television’s “Diesel Brothers” to debut a one-of-a-kind 2018 GMC Sierra 3500HD Denali. The truck was for built Jonathan Barber, who was involved in a coal-mining accident in 2017 that left him paralyzed from the chest down. After connecting on social media, Hoskins and Barber became friends, and Hoskins transformed the Sierra 3500HD into a handicap accessible one-off show truck.
The GMC Sierra 3500HD Denali was the ideal platform as it provided plenty of room and power for Barber to travel with his family. Barber is a longtime truck enthusiast who always dreamed of owning a lifted truck. The goal was to build a daily driver that was special enough to show off at truck shows on the weekends.
Under the watch of Hoskins, the truck was transformed into a handicap-accessible show rig, complete with an All Terrain Conversions hydraulic chair lift and gullwing door, and hand controls with a twist handle for throttle and brake control. The 14-inch lift features custom King shocks to fit wheelchair accessories and sits on 24-inch Rolling Big Power 12R Apex wheels with True Spike lug nuts and 40-inch Rolling Big Power Repulsor tires. Barber’s Sierra is equipped with Rolling Big Power Stealth Power Running Boards to allow for easier entry for his family, while a custom RBP Grille and fuel door provide signature RBP styling.
For increased tire clearance, Fusion bumpers were added front and rear, and a Leer shell provides plenty of secure storage space for Barber’s wheelchair and gear. Primo Dynamics head and taillight assemblies were added for a truly custom look. This truck has performance modifications to match its style, including an HP tune, Wehrli Custom Fabrication-built transmission, and billet SunCoast torque converter.
The Sierra will be on display through November 8 at the 2019 SEMA Show in Las Vegas at the Pilot Automotive booth #20113 in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
