The Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance celebrated its 27th year as a Southern California Father’s Day tradition
Beverly Hills, Calif. (June 19, 2022) – The Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance returned to Beverly Hills on June 19, marking its 27th year as the must-attend Father’s Day event for families and car fans in Southern California and from across the country. The free event was attended by fathers and their families, with over 40,000 estimated in attendance throughout the day.
“It was good to be back on Rodeo Drive and see all of the smiling faces,” said Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance founder Bruce Meyer. “Today was about dads, and there was no better way to celebrate with the family than a free, world-class car show. We were also able to give back to the community with $5,000 checks for the Beverly Hills Police Officers Association and Beverly Hills Firefighters’ Association thanks to our many event sponsors.”
Attendees to the event had the opportunity to view some of the world’s most unique and celebrated cars, such as a 2022 McLaren Sabre, a 1957 Ferrari 500 TRC and a 1925 Rolls-Royce Phantom I Aerodynamic Coupe by Jonckheere. The cars were seen in motion on the streets of Beverly Hills as part of a moving rally before joining the concourse-style show along Rodeo Drive. The unique event allowed these rare and collectible automobiles to be enjoyed the way they were intended in a casual format that is free for everyone.
Ken Roth was awarded Best of Show for his 1955 Ferrari 250 Europa GT while David Sydorick won the Mayor’s Award: Most Elegant for his 1956 Alfa Romeo 1900 Zagato. The 1936 Packard “Mullholland Speedster” also took home a top prize, the Rodeo Drive Award: Most Stylish. A full list of winners can be found below.
The event was kindly supported by the City of Beverly Hills, the Rodeo Drive Committee, Rodeo Drive Associates LLC, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, and local companies O’Gara Coach, Auto Vault Storage, GEARYS, Ferrari of Beverly Hills, Mercedes-Benz of Beverly Hills, Pagani Beverly Hills and RM Sotheby’s. Pirelli, Faraday Future and Fisker Inc. also provided additional support. It benefitted the Beverly Hills Police Officers Association and Beverly Hills Firefighters’ Association, non-profit charities raising funds for first responders and their families.
The Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance will return on Father’s Day in 2023.
