“My First Car” contest awarding one lucky winner an upgraded 2001 Jeep Wrangler modified during museum’s Teen Auto Workshop Program with assistance from Quadratec.
WEST CHESTER, PA (Dec. 2, 2021) – Quadratec, Inc., the world’s largest independent retailer and wholesaler of parts and accessories for Jeep® vehicles, is proud to announce a partnership with the Petersen Automotive Museum and present the “My First Car” giveaway. The contest features a 2001 Jeep Wrangler enhanced with a variety of Quadratec parts as its grand prize, and the vehicle was fully restored by students from the Petersen Museum’s Teen Auto Workshop Program.
To enter the “My First Car” giveaway, applicants need to complete a submission form, which includes a field to explain why they deserve to win the Jeep and where they would drive it first. The giveaway is open to anyone over the age of 18, and runs from October 5 to December 31. The submission form can be found at www.petersen.org/my-first-car.
Over the course of the eight-week Teen Auto Workshop Program, eight Los Angeles area high school students learned the basics of automotive maintenance and repair while modifying the 2001 Jeep Wrangler. The vehicle received over $15,000 in upgrades, including a 2.5-inch suspension lift, Quadratec bumper and rocker guards, 33-inch Nitto Trail Grappler tires, 15-inch Quadratec Rubicon Xtreme Wheels, LED headlights and taillights, Fishbone Tube Doors and Rear Bumper, Borla Cat Back exhaust, a Quadratec J5 light bar, and Kicker Speakers and Subwoofer.
The entire Jeep Wrangler build process has been documented on the Petersen Automotive Museum YouTube channel, and the six-episode series can be viewed here.
