Museum celebrates Father’s Day with the popular annual ‘Hoods Up’ exhibit, admission and membership deals, lunch specials by Drago, and fun projects for kids.
Los Angeles, Calif. (June 8th, 2017) – The Petersen Automotive Museum will celebrate Father’s Day with a unique under-the-hood display of iconic cars, discounts on admission and membership, and a rooftop penthouse lunch by Drago. Additionally, the Petersen will have special projects in its Cars Mechanical Institute, where kids can make trophies for their dads.
Visitors will get the rare chance to see the engines of some of the museum’s most iconic cars, including a 1948 Davis Divan, 2015 McLaren P1 and 1952 Ferrari Barchetta Superleggera. One of its most popular annual events, the museum has opened the hoods of its cars for several years. The engines of these priceless automobiles are rarely seen in public, so the chance to see what makes them tick is a rare opportunity.
For one day only, the museum will also offer free admission for a child under 12 with the purchase of an adult ticket. As part of the festivities leading up to Father’s Day, the Petersen will offer discounts on most membership levels until June 17th.
Drago will present a Father’s Day lunch on the Petersen’s rooftop penthouse with a special menu. The Drago restaurant on the first floor will remain open as well, offering a special Father’s Day menu.
