Held November 16-17, the Cities in Motion Leadership Conference brings together leaders of the urban mobility revolution
Los Angeles (November 16, 2017) – Recognized for his revolutionary contributions to automobile manufacturing, the Petersen Automotive Museum presented Divergent 3D CEO Kevin Czinger with its first ever “Pete Award” at the Inaugural Cities in Motion Leadership Conference. The conference is part of LA CoMotion, a unique five-day event bringing together the global leaders of the urban mobility revolution which is being held until November 19in the Downtown Los Angeles Arts District. The Conference attracts policymakers and industry players from around the world to discuss the mobility revolution.
As Divergent 3D’s founder, lead inventor, and CEO, Czinger has transformed car manufacturing, creating a new production system that incorporates 3D metal printing. Realizing that manufacturing presents a bigger economic and environmental threat than car fueling, Czinger patented his production platform to radically reduce the materials, energy, and capital needed to build a car. The manufacturing system was named Frost & Sullivan’s “2016 Technology Innovation of the Year” and a Google Solve for X “Moonshot” for its disruptive impact on global transportation.

An initiative of the NewCities Foundation, LA CoMotion gathers the global pioneers of the new mobility revolution to stimulate an essential dialogue about the future of transportation.
