After making its first public debut since being revealed last year, the Tesla Cybertruck display has been extended by popular demand
LOS ANGELES (June 23, 2020) – The Petersen Automotive Museum, which reopened to the public on Friday, June 19, will extend the Tesla Cybertruck display until Sunday, July 5, 2020. This is the Cybertruck’s first stationary public display since being revealed at a private event in Los Angeles on November 21, 2019. Guests who would like to view the Cybertruck and visit the museum must purchase tickets in advance at Petersen.org.
With its striking sharp-edged, flat-paneled exoskeleton made of stainless steel and armored glass, Tesla created the all-electric Cybertruck to offer more utility than most pickup trucks and more performance than many sports cars. In its Tri Motor all-wheel drive configuration, the Cybertruck can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds, tow up to 14,000 pounds and travel 500-plus miles on a single charge. Production is expected to begin in late 2021.
The museum will offer extended hours for viewing. Guests can check the museum website for times. Health and safety guidelines are being followed: face coverings are required (single-use face masks will be provided to those who do not have one); social distancing guidelines of at least six feet will be enforced with designated entrance and exit signs; hand sanitizing stations are available on each floor; and the museum has increased the frequency of routine cleaning.
