On Tuesday, June 21st, 2016 from 10 AM TO 3 PM, car enthusiasts are invited to see the mechanical hearts of some of the most prominent early French automobiles including the 1934 Bugatti Type 54, 1935 Hispano-Suiza J12, 1938 Delahaye 145 Coupe and 1902 Panhard et Levassor B1 Rear-Entrance Tonneau.
Oxnard, Calif. (June, 2016) — The Mullin Automotive Museum will lift the hoods of some of the most beautiful cars in its collection for the second annual Under the Hood event on Tuesday, June 21st, 2016. Cars from France’s prominent coachbuilders including, Bugatti, Hispano-Suiza, Delahaye and Panhard et Levassor will be shown in the main Mullin gallery. The displayed cars are part of the museum’s current exhibit called Cars and Carriages, which opened to the public in early April.
“This is an experience no car enthusiast will want to miss,” said Peter Mullin, founder of the Mullin Automotive Museum. “Each automobile in this collection is truly a piece of art. During this beautiful time of automotive history, cars were made with such care, such detail. Even the engine had to be aesthetically pleasing. Each car truly highlights the finest examples of transportation from the dawn of the automobile.”
The Under the Hood event will allow guests to see, up close, the craftsmanship and evolving technology that blossomed during this period in France. Be one of the first to see the engines of the 1902 Panhard et Levassor B1 Rear Entrance Tonneau, the 2015 winner of the Pebble Beach – Charles A. Chayne Trophy for Best Use of Engineering of its Time, and the 1935 Hispano-Suiza J12. Other vehicles on display include the 1934 Bugatti Type 54 and the 1938 Delahaye 145 Coupe.
