Special Launch Edition Celebrates 75 Years of Iconic Design, Performance, and Luxury
Auburn Hills, MI – June 14, 2023 – Italian luxury and performance brand Maserati ushers in a new era of grand touring with the 2024 GranTurismo PrimaSerie 75th Anniversary Launch Edition. This special release comes 75 years after the debut of the first GranTurismo and carries forward the significant legacy of this timeless model, along with sophisticated customizations and exclusive configurations to elevate the Maserati driving experience. With a limited allocation, this model will be available in the U.S. and Canada beginning summer 2023.
The 2024 GranTurismo seamlessly blends the hallmarks of grand touring with the high performance of a super car and comfort-focused features for long-distance driving. Taking inspiration from Maserati’s legendary A6 1500, it encapsulates generations of tradition, while introducing innovative technology solutions to keep drivers connected on any journey.
“The all-new GranTurismo is a revolutionized version of our brand icon and perfectly encapsulates the core pillars of performance, comfort, and timeless design,” said Bill Peffer, CEO of Maserati Americas. “The PrimaSerie 75th Anniversary Launch Edition pays homage to a storied collection of celebrated Maserati models – together with the Modena, Trofeo, and Folgore trims, GranTurismo will open new doors for Maserati in North America.”
The GranTurismo PrimaSerie’s striking details and custom interior serves as a subtle nod to the original grand tourer and distinguish these collector’s pieces even further. Embellishing the paintwork are the details of the finishes inside the passenger compartment, with contrasting stitching and embroidery; the Trident and the 75th Anniversary logo adorn the elegant seats and give a touch of character to the exterior look on the wheels, mudguard, and trunk, where they are proudly displayed in their exclusive, personalised finish.
For North America, just 50 of these special vehicles will be produced as a GranTurismo Trofeo in the striking Grigio Lamiera Matte color. The Trofeo is focused on performance, driven by the most powerful Maserati internal combustion engine ever made – without sacrificing comfort. The marked exterior lines and carbon fiber accents emphasize this car’s assertiveness. The Trofeo features the use of perforated leather, which together with the herringbone motif on the dashboard and seats, gives the car a dynamic look.
For the PrimaSerie edition, the interpretation takes inspiration from Maserati’s deep racing heritage. Corse Red details on the logos, scripts, air vents, and wheels reinterpret the bodywork of the Officine Alfieri Maserati. Equipped with a V-6 Nettuno Twin Turbo engine derived from Maserati’s brand halo, the MC20 super sports car, it has a maximum power output of 542-hp, suited for driving enthusiasts and adrenaline-fueled performance.
