Schiefer Media Inc. returns as Media Agency of Record
Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. (October 30, 2014) – MagnaFlow, a global leader in performance exhaust systems, is proud to announce it has named two top agencies to coordinate its marketing programs. Kahn Media will spearhead public relations, forum marketing and B2B communications initiatives as PR agency of record, while Schiefer Media will expand its long-standing role as media agency of record to handle social media as well as advertising and data analysis. The dual-agency strategy will be effective November 1, 2014, to coincide with the annual SEMA trade show.
MagnaFlow President Dan Paolone commented on the move: “As MagnaFlow continues to grow, our media and marketing needs have expanded. We are excited to bring Kahn Media into the MagnaFlow family and renew our relationship with the proven-effective team at Schiefer Media. The dual-agency approach, along with the launch of several new web and branding initiatives and an all-new motorcycle line, allows us to show the world that MagnaFlow is more than an exhaust company, we are a true lifestyle brand.”
In this new model for MagnaFlow, Schiefer Media will continue as the media agency of record, providing research, planning, buying and reporting. Schiefer Media’s branding support will expand to include managing MagnaFlow’s social presence and activity across multiple channels, coordinating Team MagnaFlow’s ambassador relationships, and providing extended audience, competitor and channel analysis.
“Magnaflow is an innovator in the automotive aftermarket,” says James Schiefer, President and CEO of Schiefer Media, Inc. “Their dedication to product development combined with the desire to reach customers in new ways sets MagnaFlow apart. We’ve enjoyed a fantastic relationship with MagnaFlow for over a decade now, and we couldn’t be happier to expand the level of our support and service to the brand.”
Kahn Media President Dan Kahn added, “We are excited to be selected as MagnaFlow’s PR agency of record. MagnaFlow has solidified its position as a leader in the exhaust market and has become a bold brand known for making waves and setting trends. This decision, tapping the top two agencies in the industry for different roles, continues that pattern. We look forward to taking MagnaFlow’s message beyond the aftermarket into the mainstream, promoting its products, apparel, specialty builds and the family behind it all.”
SEMA 2014 will keep both agencies busy. New product introductions will include a radical new online presence and cover new product applications for enthusiast-oriented 2015 model cars and trucks. Several custom vehicles built with MagnaFlow products will be in MagnaFlow’s booth (#23543, Central Hall) and at various locations around the show. These include Chip Foose’s new Foose GT supercar and custom V-Twin motorcycles built by Arlen and Zach Ness.
Team MagnaFlow members will appear in booth #23543 throughout the show. Tuesday celebrities are Dennis “Grave Digger” Anderson, Vaughn Gittin Jr., Casey Currie and Richard Petty. On Wednesday, booth appearances will be made by Mario Andretti, Corry Weller, Courtney Hansen and Chip Foose. Appearing on Thursday will be the Ness family (Arlen, Cory and Zach), Rutledge Wood, Jeremy McGrath and Robbie Gordon.
