The Company’s 2019 Ford Ranger is on display in the Ford booth and will feature an overland camping theme complete with a rooftop tent, electric mountain bikes and a full camp kitchen.
Visalia, Calif. (October, 2019) – Hellwig Products, an industry leading manufacturer of towing, hauling and performance suspension products, debuted its “Attainable Adventure” 2019 Ford Ranger custom truck in the Ford Motor Company booth #22200 at the 2019 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The “Attainable Adventure” Ranger is an overland exploration vehicle equipped with two Specialized electric mountain bikes and a Trail Kitchens bed-mounted kitchen.
The all-new 2019 Ford Ranger XLT was the ideal platform for the “Attainable Adventure” build, with its affordable base price, capable chassis and economical, yet powerful, EcoBoost engine – the Ranger is more than competent as an overland vehicle.
The truck was built by Old Steel Fabrication in Leona Valley, California. Under the watch of the Old Steel shop, the Ranger was outfitted for overland travel with a Stage 5 Suspension System by Icon Vehicle Dynamics; bed rack and awning by Yakima; and topped with a Tepui Hybox rooftop tent. For better traction on and off-road, Hellwig equipped the Ranger with 35-inch Falken Wildpeak M/T tires around 17-inch ICON Alloys Compression wheels. A set of Bushwacker fender flares were installed to provide adequate tire coverage and Addictive Desert Designs front and rear bumpers, a T-Rex X-Metal Grille and a Rigid Industries light bar were installed to create an aggressive appearance. Finally, the paint experts at LGE-CTS Motorsports gave the Ranger a custom, retro-looking paint job to set the build apart.
The “Attainable Adventure” Ranger will spend much of its time off the grid, so a Trail Kitchen bed-mounted kitchen and an ARB fridge were installed on a BedSlide for easy access. A RIGD hitch swing is being used to mount the Specialized electric mountain bikes while Daystar Fuel Cans and a Krazy Beaver Shovel round out the rest of the bed-mounted necessities. A GoalZero Yeti 1400 portable power station and solar panels will be utilized to power auxiliary electronics and charge the electric mountain bikes.
You can see the “Attainable Adventure” Ranger at the 2019 SEMA Show in Las Vegas in the Ford Motor Company booth #22200 in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
