Back by popular demand, the Big Sur photographer will return to the gallery to discuss “An Artist’s View of Native American Rock Art and What’s Around in Nature”
Big Sur, Calif. (November 26, 2019) – COAST Big Sur will welcome back artist Daniel Bianchetta, internationally-published photographer and Esalen Institute archivist and historian, as a guest speaker on Saturday, November 30, 2019, at 3 p.m. The public is welcome to join for an educational and inspiring evening with the local resident and artist.
Back by popular demand, Bianchetta’s talk titled “An Artist’s View of Native American Rock Art and What’s Around in Nature” stems from 30 years as a professional photographer and historian, his keen interest and research of Native American Rock Art sites throughout the Southwest, Canada, and Hawaii, and, particularly, his in-depth cultural and historical study of the Big Sur coastal tribe, the Esselen. Bianchetta’s knowledge and passion uniquely intertwine art, history, and science.
“The work of Daniel Bianchetta represents the history and beauty of Big Sur,” said COAST Big Sur CEO Peter Mullin. “We’re honored to host him again at COAST to further inspire the community by his findings.”
This free program will be held in COAST Big Sur’s art gallery. Refreshments will be served. Seating is limited. For event details, please call Sabrina Davis, the COAST Big Sur gallery manager at 831-667-2301.
