APR releases new Stage 2 ECU upgrades, Race DP and Race Midpipes for Audi RS3 and TTRS 2.5 TFSI engines, offering major increases in both horsepower and torque
(Opelika, Alabama) January, 2018 – APR unveiled today the new Stage 2 ECU upgrades along with new Race DP and Race Midpipes for the Audi RS3 and TTRS 2.5 TFSI engines. APR’s Stage 2 ECU upgrade system further improves upon the gains made by the Stage 1 and Stage 1+ ECU upgrades, allowing for substantially greater horsepower and torque increases over stock while retaining the factory turbocharger. The APR Race DP and Race Midpipes improve turbo response, enhance exhaust sound and are fully compatible with factory exhaust parts, while offering increases in both horsepower and torque.
The Stage 2 ECU upgrade system is designed to work in conjunction with APR’s Inlet System, Intercooler System, Race DP and Race Midpipes to maximize the performance potential of these aftermarket parts. When combined, the new Stage 2 upgrade system produces 499-574 HP and 468-530 FT-LBS of torque, depending on fuel used. These increases range throughout the engine’s power band offering overall performance increases of 92-165 HP and 113-165 FT-LBS of torque over stock. In addition to the benefits of the Stage 1 and Stage 1+ packages, the Stage 2 ECU upgrade more aggressive “Pops and Bangs” exhaust crackle (fuel delivery, available only in Sport and Sport Manual modes, recommended for cat-less exhaust systems only) in more modes, such as during gear change and throttle lift-off. Further improvements are made with the Stage 2 ECU upgrade to turbo spooling and pedal mapping. In addition, all Stage 2 modes offer new features to reduce wheelspin and improve launch, further reducing 0-60 MPH times.
APR’s Race DP and Race Midpipes are available in multiple configurations with or without catalytic converters (for track use only). These pipes offer continuous-radius bends, laser-cut brackets with precision gaskets and are cast from electropolished T304 stainless steel. While each of these improved exhaust parts is fully compatible and interchangeable with the stock exhaust system, APR recommends using both the Race DP and Race Midpipes alongside the APR Race Inlet and Race Intercooler in order to unlock maximum Stage 2 performance gains.
The APR Stage 2 upgrade system has been exhaustively tested to ensure maximum performance and reliability with the factory turbocharger.
