Full Time Positions

Account Coordinator (Entry-Level) – Full Time

Under the supervision of a Senior Account Executive or Account Supervisor, our Account Coordinators will learn how to develop and implement dynamic PR and social media strategies, maintain relationships with journalists, communicate directly with clients, attend events and trade shows to support clients, facilitate interviews with the media, capture content for social media use, and create monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports for clients.  Please note, this is an entry-level position.

The ideal candidate will be a capable writer, have an understanding of the current media landscape (everything from social influencer outreach to blogs to print pubs) and the PR process, have a working knowledge of major social media channels, and must have a passion for communication – If you love the outdoors, the luxury/lifestyle space, tech, cars, or trucks, even better.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Write press releases, news stories, and turn key articles
  • Assist with pitching stories about clients or client products/services to media outlets
  • Attend client events and industry conferences
  • Join daily/weekly meetings with clients to ensure we are meeting their needs
  • Assist with the creation of daily/weekly posts for client social media channels (mostly Facebook and Instagram)
  • Monitor the clients’ social media accounts and offer constructive interaction with users
  • Help create monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports for clients on the progress of their campaign, media coverage, and an analysis on social media metrics
  • Work with the creative department to create unique social media content using client content (photos/videos) or schedule shoots based on specific content needs
  • Capture content (photo/video) at client events for use on social media

Qualifications and Skills

  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English or related field
  • Exceptional multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of AP Style as it pertains to writing for PR
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms – especially Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Basic photography/video and editing skills
  • Those with basic technical knowledge of automobiles, trucks, and off-road driving will be given priority

Account Executive – Full Time

If you answered “yes” to the above questions, then you want a career at Kahn Media.  We are currently looking for an exceptional person to join our Public Relations team as an Account Executive.

  • Create daily/weekly posts for client social media channels (mostly Facebook and Instagram)
  • Monitor the clients’ social media accounts and offer constructive interaction with users
  • Analyze the long-term needs of the clients’ social media strategies and offer quarterly reports to management
  • Work with the creative department to create unique social media content using client content (photos/videos) or schedule shoots based on specific content needs
  • Monitor media coverage and create monthly reports for clients that include analysis on social media metrics
  • Capture content (photo/video) at client events for use on social media

Part Time Positions

Business Development Specialist

Are you a recent MBA graduate, current MBA student, or a forward-thinking sales and marketing professional that’s looking to put your skills and knowledge to work helping a successful company innovate its business development process, sales funnel, and marketing?  Kahn Media, a leading integrated marketing firm specializing in automotive, outdoor, and luxury-lifestyle markets, is looking to expand its team with a new part-time position that will work closely with the CEO and executive team to modernize the company’s biz dev strategy and execution by creating a new structure to the RFP process, work with the creative team to develop a new, visual proposal template, identify how and where marketing automation and a modern sales funnel can be utilized to capture new leads, manage the company’s social media channels, and more.

While this position will start out as part-time, it has lots of potential for advancement and a high earnings potential.  Compensation will be an hourly base + commission.  While we would prefer a candidate within driving distance of our headquarters in Moorpark, CA, we are open to this position being a fully remote position for the right candidate.

COVID-19 Considerations: We are currently operating on a partially remote basis during the COVID-19 pandemic with an employee rotation schedule that limits the total number of people in the office at any given time, with most employees coming in once per week.  The office is professionally cleaned and disinfected throughout the week, masks are provided to all employees and required to be worn when in communal areas or when interacting directly with another employee, hand sanitizer is available at every desk, and employees are encouraged to utilize the touchless thermometer provided at the front desk upon entering the building.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Create and post content on company social channels including LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook
  • Follow-up with warm new business leads (RFPs, social leads, freemium leads, and engaged website visitors)
  • Work with digital marketing team to A/B test targeted DM ads to drive email, phone, and social leads to determine what’s working and optimize response rates
  • Work with Kahn Media’s managing editor on company blogs and newsletter content to drive site traffic
  • Work with copy and creative teams on new business decks, PowerPoints, case studies, and proposals
  • Report to and work alongside the CEO with significant insights and contribute creative business strategies
  • Comfortable with cold calls and cold emails
  • Experience with collaboration and project management tools including Slack and Trello
