Owners of SPB Trucking, the Jones’ have over 30 years of experience in the trucking industry and will represent RoadWorks Manufacturing® across the nation

Lafayette, Ind. (November, 2018) – RoadWorks Manufacturing®, a leading designer and manufacturer of stainless steel aftermarket accessories for heavy duty trucks, has named driving duo Gary and Devery Jones of Lawson, Missouri as its newest brand ambassadors.

Representing RoadWorks Manufacturing® at heavy duty trucking shows throughout the United States, the newly named brand ambassadors will offer insights about RoadWorks’ American-made stainless steel accessories and the RoadWorks Manufacturing® Detail Products to take care of them.

A third-generation driver, Gary Jones takes after his grandfather and father, who both had successful careers as commercial truck drivers. Gary began driving commercial trucks at age 18, while his wife Devery learned to drive ten years ago under his tutelage.

“It’s in my bones,” said Jones. “My entire life has been centered around truck driving and its culture. I couldn’t be more honored to represent a company like RoadWorks Manufacturing across the nation.”

Both Gary and Devery Jones are active in the day-to-day operations of SPB Trucking along with several other family-owned businesses. With eleven trucks in their fleet, Devery Jones manages dispatch from the road while Gary Jones drives. Avid dog lovers, the Joneses named their company after their dogs – Sweetie, Parker, Precious and “BB” – who join them on the road. The Joneses also own a pilot company, G and D Pilot, which Devery operates while Gary’s sister manages the office at SPB Trucking.

2018 is the first year the Joneses competed in a truck show. Prior to hitting the show circuit, the couple personally restored their project truck, a 1995 Peterbilt 379 named “Excessive Behavior.” It was then painted by a friend who had previously performed similar custom paintjobs on the couple’s personal vehicle and motorcycle. Naturally overachievers, their first truck show was also North America’s largest, the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Kentucky, where they walked away with the award for “Best Pictured Truck.” At the final stop of the American Truck Show Circuit in Ventura, California, the husband and wife team swept the award show thanks to their truck, “Excessive Behavior.” With nearly three million miles driven, the truck landed second place honors in the “Limited for Show Bobtail” category for “Interior,” “Exterior,” “Engine” and “Best of Show” as well as first place for “Driver Presentation.”

“Gary and Devery have a vivacious and infectious energy that we are thrilled to have join the RoadWorks Manufacturing family,” said VP of Sales Ralph Banks. “Their commitment to quality is something we admire and desire in our brand ambassadors and we know they will do great things in the years to come.”
